Practice Charter
Data Protection Act
All data stored on our computers is covered by the Data Protection Act and as part of this practice's contribution to medical research we provide completely anonymised patient level treatment information to
reputable third party organisations. No individual is ever identified from the information.
Confidentiality
All consultations between you and your health professional are treated with strict confidentiality and all staff are bound to obey the confidentiality rules.
Comments & Complaints
We are continuously striving to provide the best health care possible to all our patients. However, on occasion a patient may have cause to make comments, suggestions or complaints, which they want to bring to
the attention of the practice. In this event you can contact the practice manager and your concerns will be pursued in accordance with practice procedures.
Zero Tolerance
We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal
from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.
Freedom Of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the 'classes' of information the practice intends to routinely make
available. This scheme is available from reception.
